Sciatica is a medical condition affecting the back, hip and outer side of the leg, caused by compression of a spinal nerve root in the lower back, often owing to degeneration of an intervertebral disk, it can be very of painful and uncomfortable condition.

The sciatic nerve is the largest nerve in the body, extending from the lower (lumbar) part of the spinal column, through the buttocks, down into the legs. First you need to lie on your back and make your legs flat. Then toward the chest pull the affected leg up holding your left knee with your left hand and grasping the ankle with the other hand. Leading by the ankle, pull the knee towards your opposite leg until you feel a light stretch—do not force the ankle or knee beyond the stretch.After 30 seconds of holding the stretch slowly return to the starting position. It is recommended to repeat it for 3 times.


Lie on the ground and cross the affected leg over the opposite one at the knees, and both legs bent. Carefully pull the lower knee up in the direction of your shoulder on the same body’s side until you feel the stretch, and hold it for a half a minute. Then, slowly get back to the initial position. It is recommended to repeat it for 3 times.
